Publishing, Promotion, and Distribution
Anyone can release music on their own these days, but we want music released on Sunstruck to have a sound- we want to be associated with quality. We also want to work with artists to publish their music and create a plan to collect royalties and preserve their legacy. We don’t do this for artists, we do this with artists.
We have relationships with members of the media and entertainment industries.
Professional Session Work
Sunstruck Records, in addition to providing funding for complete projects, offers professional session work for singer-songwriters recording their albums in project studios.
Sunstruck has an in-house band in the spirit of Motown or Stax Records that can provide amazing session work for singer-songwriters. If you are a talented artist who could use some help, or you think you can help us, drop us a line. We are interested in working with artists with a variety of career ambitions, so don't hesitate to reach out, regardless of whether you are trying to make a career of it, or just trying to find a supportive environment to be heard.
Grants for Musicians
Sunstruck Records is a nonprofit record label that endeavors to change the music business in a meaningful way by granting time, talent, funding, and other resources to artists that play music that inspires us- usually within the genres of power pop and Americana music.
We work to provide project grants to artists with a strong vision- artists that are ready to record their records. At this time, we are primarily working with artists that can provide matching funding and are willing to work with an established producer to help manage their project. We are willing to help with a crowdfunding campaign to source artists' contributions for matching funds.
Classes and Workshops
We provide workshops to teach you how to record, publish, and distribute your music commercially while retaining your intellectual property.
We are looking to partner with libraries, schools, community bands, and non-profits to make music and build community. If you would like us to visit your organization, please contact us.
